Lloyds Bank Foundation for England & Wales with the Imkaan and Women’s Aid Federation of England Sustainability Partnership are running free training workshops for commissioners of services tackling violence against women and girls (VAWG).
These workshops build on the Home Office’s National Statement of Expectations for responding to VAWG, together with a toolkit to support commissioners in commissioning services which were published at the end of 2016.
The three regional workshops will explore how to implement the National Statement of Expectations and to make the best use of the commissioning toolkit. Commissioners will also benefit from learning about the latest research and experience of commissioning VAWG services across the country.
The half day interactive sessions will be facilitated by Meghan Field, former VAWG Strategic Lead for the Tri-Borough area in London, who will provide bespoke advice about how to use the available tools in your area and draw on her own experience of commissioning VAWG services in increasingly challenging landscapes.
The workshops are scheduled to take place from 12:30 – 17:00 in:
- Leicester on 1st March
- Newcastle on 15th March
- London on 22nd March
