The Flemish Government, which oversees the Flemish region of Belgium, is using it’s Programme for Innovation Procurement (PIP)
… to convince every Flemish policy maker, public manager and purchaser in the broader public sector of the added value of innovation procurement.
The goal of PIP is to “make innovation procurement a structural tool for optimising the functioning of the public sector and its services, and for achieving forward-looking policy objectives.” Their aim is for the programme to work closely with companies, research centres and public administrations to facilitate a high-performing public administration, competitive companies and solutions for societal challenges.
You can read more about the programme on their website, including an introduction to innovation procurement and more on it’s benefits.
