Nesta and partner Collaborate CIC have formed the Upstream Collaborative, a new local government innovators network. Its purpose is to facilitate sharing and learning from one another and to explore new ways of working being pioneered by its members to tackle the underlying causes of social problems.
Twenty councils seen as “…leading the way in shifting culture and practice in local government, building new relationships with communities and citizens and reforming public services” have joined the network.
Nesta intend to publish insights generated by the network to accelerate the movement for change, drawing on Collaborate CIC’s insights developed from working with pioneering councils, including their research on a new paradigm in public services.
