Community Catalysts is hosting an interactive session for commissioners, directors, and managers interested in developing care and support around people's lives.
The session explores micro-commissioning, direct payments, and community micro-enterprises as alternatives to traditional home care and day services. Commissioners from Cheshire West and Chester and Hertfordshire will share their experience of developing local micro-markets with Community Catalysts.
The discussion covers the practical conditions for choice and control: helping people direct their support, giving practitioners confidence to work differently, and enabling small local providers to offer useful alternatives.
