Start inside the work
In-house and place-based work
Develop capability around a live organisational or place-based pressure, with a clear route from diagnosis to action and follow-through.
Start with what you need, not a catalogue
Tell us what is happening, who is affected, what has already been tried and which people need to act together. We will help you decide whether the sensible start is a short diagnostic, a cohort programme, a simulation or practical support around one challenge.
A simple commercial path
1. See what is happening
A short assessment, health check or senior conversation builds a shared picture. It should identify strengths, constraints, decision points and a bounded place to act.
2. Build a cohort around live challenges
We design the learning around the people and work that need to move. A cohort may sit within one team, cross an organisation, bring partners across a place together or combine public service sectors.
3. Create a proof point
Participants test the learning through a 100-day plan, challenge project, experiment or change in routine. The aim is evidence from action, not a final-day aspiration.
4. Keep the practice alive
Where it helps, action learning, coaching, an alumni group or a community of practice can support the next phase. Continuing support must have a purpose; it is not a subscription looking for a problem.
Common starting points
- A commissioning reset after practice has become fragmented or procurement-led.
- A place-based academy for partners facing reorganisation, devolution, integration or a shared outcome.
- Development for managers and leaders while structures, roles and services are changing.
- A practical 100-day proof point before a larger investment.
- A simulation to expose decision habits and system effects safely.
- A short Compass workshop to decide where deeper work is justified.
What we will ask
We will ask what outcome matters, where the current system is producing something else, and who can authorise or obstruct action. We will also identify what the cohort can change while the programme runs and what evidence would make the first phase worthwhile.
Start with the work
Tell us what is happening, who needs to act, and what cannot wait.
We will help you decide whether a short diagnostic, an in-house cohort, a place-based academy, or an existing programme is the sensible next move.
