Explore how an outcomes focus can change the conversations and decisions behind children’s services reform.
Chrissie Gregory and Sharon Davidson, improvement consultants working with the London Borough of Islington, will share examples from their work with leadership teams and wider workforces, including an Islington leadership session and the application of a live 100-day project.
They’ll discuss how learning through the Commissioning Academy helped them sharpen their existing practice: thinking across services, starting with people’s lives, distinguishing co-production from consultation, and bringing equalities and an understanding of trauma into the work from the outset.
Hosted by the Public Service Transformation Academy, this will be a conversation with its chief executive, Benjamin P Taylor, followed by audience questions and discussion.
It’s for people working in children’s services, commissioning, organisational improvement, and public service reform. You don’t need commissioning in your job title.
We’ll also explain the next National Commissioning Academy, running from November 2026 to May 2027, and how to explore whether it’s right for you or a team working on a live challenge. The Academy’s induction on 10 November is separate from this webinar.
